The project is planned to be located in Conghua, with a total land area of approximately 100 acres and an estimated investment of 480 million yuan. The project is scheduled to commence construction in the second quarter of 2025 and officially start production in the fourth quarter of 2026. Carrier Investment develops the world's first refrigerant free heat pump.
According to reports, Carrier Ventures, the investment arm of Carrier Global Corporation, has invested 15 million euros in a company that is developing the world's first emission free, refrigerant free heat pump. The company behind this research and development, Exergy, headquartered in Dublin, is using solid-state shape memory alloy (SMA) technology. SMA can provide solid-state heating and cooling without using fluorinated gases. The metal used can deform in a cold state, but can return to its original state when heated. The Exergyn system is believed to use a shape memory alloy called Nitinol, which is a mixture of nickel and titanium.
